On Sunday 13.8. from 5 to 6 pm Cashmere Radio broadcasts a distinctly ‘female’ narrative sound journey created in respect to the divine female energy of Sylvia Plath, in collaboration with 88.4 reboot.fm
Sound and conceptual artists Akkamiau and Sarah Martinus warmly invite you into a collaboration focusing on the private journals and musings of one of the most dynamic and admired female poets of the 20th century, Sylvia Plath.
This audio experiment, entitled: EXCERPTS FROM SYLVIA PLATH's UNABRIDGED DIARIES, created for Cashmere radio by Akkamiau and Sarah Martinus, with part 1 will premiere on air in collaboration with reboot.fm, 88vier - nichtkommerzielles Radioprojekt
Selected chapters are narrated by Sarah Martinus with accompanying soundscapes, originating from our collaborative improvisations, springing from enjoyment, from emotion.
As we read the intimate, profound, ridiculous and brazen recounts of Sylvia, an artist in the true sense of the word, we are reminded of the worth of creative energy, the core of artistic expression, how this needs to be nurtured within each of us as we live out each day in our physical realities.
